Hello there,

I grew up in a culture where showing emotions through human touch was a big deal.

Hugs, handshakes, and pats on the back were more than just gestures – they were ways to convey love, warmth, and connection.

These experiences have shaped my art and given me a deep appreciation for the power of touch.

Did you know that when we physically touch another person we produce a chemical called oxytocin that makes us feel warm and connected?

I know, it's crazy! I call it the chemical of happiness!

Oxytocin is the way we feel emotionally and physically closer to someone, it is the way we build trust.

It's really fascinating! Now, this is the craziest part:

I recently read a piece of research (drop me a line to find out which) that says that our subconscious mind does not know the difference between real events and thoughts; it reacts equally to both.

For example, if you close your eyes and think about your last holiday and the ocean and how warm the sun made you feel, your body will produce the chemicals it did when the real event happened and you will feel great.

That is because our minds react equally to the real world and to the things we think about.

Try it out: think about someone you love and the way you felt when you last hugged that person.

In my artwork, I try to capture the essence of those emotions, whether it's a tender embrace or a gentle caress.

I hope to convey the beauty of the human touch and the importance of emotional connection in our lives.
